I bought this type of grill as a recommendation from a coworker for grilling meats indoors. I live in a small apt and don’t have a lot of space for storage of a large griddle. I saw other similar items on Amazon, but the cheaper ones had reviews stating that the non stick peeled after a use. I figured I’d shell out an extra few bucks if it meant longevity.
I filled the ring with 1/2 cup water like the instructions said and oiled the non-stick top, like another reviewer suggested for easier clean up. The meat turned out amazing. One reviewer said that you need to preheat a while as it’s 2-3″ from the flame, but mine was smoking in a couple minutes. I think you need to know your burning to gage preheating. My gas stove top is so hot that usually when cook, I can only turn it up 3/4 of the way for “high” heat or it damages my nonstick pans. I turned it up all the way so it would get nice and hot.
I bought a pack of pre-marinated thinly sliced Korean BBQ meat (bulgoggi) and the meat turned out juicy w/some nice crisp caramelized edges, which took maybe 5 min for the first batch, less for the next. Also, as I went to put on the next batch, the grill was already too hot and starting to burn, so i had to turn it down.
Yes, there is some smoking, as you’re grilling meat as that’s what meat does when you grill it. Yes, there will be a little bit of sputtering, as that’s what meat does when you grill it. Clean up of the non stick top layer of the grill and the aluminum ring was super easy. Just a quick wipe with my soap sponge. Underneath, on the other side of the non stick side of the grill is harder. I scraped using my nail through the soap sponge and was able to get most of it off. I can’t wait to try out some shish kabobs, burgers and steak. As this was only my first use, I have yet to test out it’s longevity. But as of now, I. Love. This. Grill.

I had one of these 20 years ago, but it was cheap and would warp in any kind of med or high heat. This is much higher quality. I tested it today with a chicken tender. I wanted to test one before I risked it ruining the rest of my chicken.
This heats up fast, little smear of oil and it’s extra non stick. Basically I LOVE this thing. My chicken tender grilled nice and golden brown with no smoke. I can’t wait to try a steak, chicken thighs, pork chops, ham steaks and so much more.
I live in San Francisco in a small apt so I have a small stove. I lucked out in that the grill barely sits on a burner. Make sure your stove/burner is large enough to stabilize the grill.
Other than that – good grilling!!!

I AM OBSESSED! I hate cooking meat in a frying pan or oven (mostly because I suck at it), but to put a piece of meat on a grill the grill does the work for you and the meat comes out perfect every time. I live in a 1br apartment in LA and I don’t have my own outdoor space, so having a real grill isn’t an option, but this.. THIS.. has solved my problems, and I’m thrilled. It’s super easy to clean too, which is a huge bonus.

We love it!!! My family loves Korean BBQ and now we found a cheaper way to have it, instead of going to a resto.. And I love the grill it works pretty good and hold enough food at a time I would probably order more for party and relatives

We just received this but have used it every day for the past 3 days and we LOVE IT. I would recommend grilling non-marinated meats/veg because the sugars in the sauces will definitely increase the smoke produced, but we just decided to grill salt&peppered meats and dip in sauces as the meat is ready (think Korean BBQ style cooking, we are also using a single range portable gas grill to cook at our table). It seems to clean up very easily after each use and we hope to run it into the ground. The price point is reasonable enough that we don’t mind taking good care of it and replacing it once it becomes gunky (if that happens).

This is awesome. I was a little skeptical but its super easy to use. I just added a half a cup of water to the drip pan and grilled up bacon and garlic bread. The bread had nice grill marks and the bacon got nice and crispy! It definitely gets more heat at the center of the grill and really thick things can take a little longer but I expected that.
