Excellent mount! I use it daily for a Roadhawk HD dash cam inside my windshield.. (on and off daily) .. I've gone through a few of them though over time.. they seem to last about a year and then start to fall get loose and / or actually off the windshield (which I keep very clean) after 30-40 minutes. This mount was $19 prime when I first bought one.

This would stand stuck through a hurricane, I have used this about seven times and it has exceeded all my expectations, I see the movies of the before and then I see then with this and the stillness is amazing, this thing feels like it is going to last for generations, the number of angles and positions is as close to infinity as you can get, I mount this inside my vehicles and other surfaces (so far all smooth metal or plastic) and I was shocked and elated on how firmly this locks into place, and once locked the 1,000's of ways to adjust.

This is an awesome mount. VERY heavy duty, that is no exaggeration there. The plastic parts are very heavy duty. The part the ball joint goes into is NOT plastic, it's metal, and I think the ball is also. Put the suction cup on a clean smooth surface and I doubt you will get it off. I put it on a window and had a hard time getting off the way you are supposed to. Plus it has an extension so you have even more options for mounting.

That's been a problem with other mount on the windshield...eventually they always seem to come off, I doubt this one will.



It's good for up to a 4lb camera... I think the mount weighs that itself. Plus you have the option for a double or triple suction cup.

This mount is phenomenal. I currently use it with a Panasonic HD camera with fish-eye lens and hotshoe mic. The camera itself is a little older, so it's a little heavier than the ones sold today, and add to that the large glass lens.



This mount holds it steady in a moving car with no issue! I tested it the other day and it's just a firm as my GoPro which uses only one of the suction cup mounts, but only weighs a few ounces!



The only drawback is that when the mic is on my camera, I have to mount it upside-down and flip the video in editing because the arm isn't long enough - the mic hits the windshield if I mount it straight up. However, this is a generic mount made for a wide array of cameras, and it can't be expected to be custom fitted for every camera. I was going to swap out the tube in between the suction cups and the camera mount, but it's machined and can't be easily swapped.



Still -- 5/5 stars. This is steady enough that I intend to use it for the upcoming racing season! (Autocross)

I got this in addition to the other two that make up a 3 suction rig. I am using this on the 8k Instapro 360 camera right now with a ball head and it's not even flinching! It said 12 pounds and I can only imagine that's because of the frame which is a hardened plastic because the suction cups aren't going anywhere. Don't get me wrong though, the plastic isn't cheap, it just may not be solid enough for a 20 pound rig with its narrow support.



This is a great buy!

Impressive little sucker. When mounted, properly, it hangs on for dear life even on the tank of my M/cycle. Nice and flexible in terms of positioning camera/light whatever you want to mount. Have not tried it with my Canon XF100 or any of my DSLRs but I'm confident it could hold them on a smooth road. But for the plethora of GoPro knock offs out there this is perfect. Lastly while it is made of plastic it is not thin/easily breakable plastic, clamping down hard to make sure things don't move is not likely to break or split any of it.

For cockpit application holding an iPad, this is a highly secure suction cup based mount. Includes depress button to evacuate the air from within the cup, and a moveable tab to release the vacuum once it's in place. I decided on the single cup instead of the double-cup based on the recommendation of a captain who has used a single-cup for years, without a negative result. Given that the downside of the Gecko mounts is their bulk, I opted for the single. The only downside I perceive is the bulkiness, thus the 4-star on versatility. However, that bulkiness is what achieves the sturdiness. It's a well designed piece of equipment.

I saw some using one of this in they youtube video. And I was I could use one of those for my video YT:him2wavy. So I went to searching, look online, they cost to much. So I went back to youtube with the correct name of the product, found this one in particular to be the one. Glad I ordered it, Its just as good, if not better than the gopro suction mount, I know this because I have both. It sturdy, holds my camera in place with not wobble.. If you look for a good suction camera mount, Get this unless u only need a one suction, or more than two....

I bought our first Fat Gecko in 2012, after 5 years of service and still going we decided we needed one for our other Kayak as well. The Fat Gecko has allowed us to take many on the water movies over the years, and was always rock solid on its mounting. Shortly after buying the second unit while on a river trip we lost half of the knuckle. I looked all over trying to find a new knuckle that I could buy. Finally in desperation I emailed Delkin Products telling them the story and asking where I could buy a new knuckle. They emailed back within a day asking if this was the correct mailing address on my email salutation, and if so they would mail one right out at no charge. The part arrived a few days later and even included the ball. We have always been thrilled with the quality of the product, but this was over the top for service in my mind! We have used this on our truck for filming and on our kayaks with never a problem, and great service to boot.

Ok, everyone wants the cheapest thing they can get right? Well, I know camera mounts, especially using it on vehicles that are going over bumps, taking 100+mph winds, etc needs to be good. I opted for this mount and I'm so glad I did. I've used a lot of mounts over the years and this is by far the most solid suction cup mount I've ever used. I love all the versatility. You can adjust the 2 suction cups angle for curved/slanted surface mounting, and then the dual joints let you play with the mounts arm in ways you never though possible. This is a SERIOUSLY stiff mount too. Solid metal/plastic construction does not feel cheap. I'm so glad I spent the extra cash for this mount, really worth it.
